Help For The Holidays ~ A Hallmark Channel Original Movie

Eva La Rue stars with Sumer Glau in the Hallmark Channel original movie ‘Help For The Holidays’ premiering December 9, 2012.

Summer Glau (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”) travels from the North Pole to Los Angeles to lend a helping hand when she stars with Eva La Rue (“CSI: Miami”), Dan Gauthier (“One Life to Live”) and John Brotherton (“Jane By Design”) in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie World Premiere “Help for the Holidays,” Sunday, December 9 (8p.m. ET/PT, 7C).  In the film, also starring young talent Izabela Vidovic (“Christmas Angel”) and Mason Cook (“Spy Kids: All the Time in the World”), Glau stars as one of Santa’s hard-working elves who’s enthusiasm for Christmas is contagious when she goes on a special assignment as a new nanny for a family in desperate need of a holiday makeover.

Although she loves Christmas, Santa’s elf Christine (Glau) wonders if there could be more to life than making toys in the North Pole.  When Santa receives an emergency wish from a little boy in Los Angeles, he puts Christine on a special assignment, sending her to L.A. to give the VanCamp family—mom Sara (La Rue), dad Scott (Gauthier), and their two kids Ally (Vidovic) and Will (Cook)—a holiday wake-up call.  While Sara and Scott run their booming holiday store, Will and Ally are often left unsupervised.  The kids long for a true family Christmas, with a tree and lights of their own instead of the holiday leftovers from their parents’ store.

Christine quickly interviews to be the kids’ new nanny, hoping to secretly transform their sad Christmas spirit into a loving family celebration.  Christine thinks she has it all under control and might even be falling in love.  But when Sara suspects her new nanny is interfering too much, she threatens to end Christine’s stay in L.A.  Will Christine fail her assignment and be sent back to the North Pole for good, or will the VanCamps come to their senses about the meaning of Christmas.

“Help for the Holidays” is a Mediapool Production in Association with Larry Levinson Productions.  Larry Levinson is the executive producer.  Lincoln Lageson is the producer and Bradford May is the director.  Story is by Abbey Cleland with teleplay by Abbey Cleland and Bob Saenz.

About The Eva La Rue Fine Jewelry Collection

Eva LaRue, known for her roles in television sensations “CSI: Miami” and “All My Children,” is now launching her very own line of fine jewelry.

The Eva LaRue Fine Jewelry Collection is a story of spirituality and womanhood. Eva’s signature star, found in her logo and jewelry is representative of her journey through some of the worst times in her life, and back into happiness, peace and serenity. Every beautiful work of art in this collection is an anthem of triumph, fit for a Red Carpet or a day at the office.

Eva LaRue has spent years working to design a line that would speak to every woman. With elegance and fashion forward flair, this collection truly inspires women from all walks of life.

The Eva LaRue Fine Jewelry logo was a very important detail to Eva because she wanted it to be representative of the meaning and importance of the entire line. The lotus, an eternal symbol for beauty and purity makes the first bold statement. At the core of this lotus, however, is the beautiful nine pointed star. A signature of the Baha’i faith which finds truth in all the spiritual prophets of the world, it is truly a symbol for humanity. The color was inspired by the stone of new beginnings, Tanzanite. It is never too late to find the beauty of humanity and begin again.

The Story of the Spirit Star

The number nine represents “spiritual completion”, and the star is a symbol of guidance. It’s a way to remind myself to always be connected to my spirit, and make life choices that reflect that.

The Lotus Flower

Represents the throne of Buddha.
