As a single mom, actress and travel junkie, I’ve always joked that kids not only don’t come with a parenting manual, but any directions that they DO come with I liken to IKEA instructions; too many parts that don’t seem to fit anywhere and written in a language that I clearly don’t understand!

A couple of years ago, I launched my YouTube channel to house my travel adventures with my daughter Kaya. Dragging her around the world with me provided the perfect space for some amazing conversations and connection with her, mostly because she was trapped with me, and many times in countries where she was technologically deprived and had to actually be present! Ah, the good ol’ days, when she was young and relatively compliant! Now, I’ve realized, since she’s become a typical teen (and all that entails), that I needed to update my YouTube channel to house the musings of my life’s most important work – parenting!
I’m bumbling my way through this imperfect parenting path like everyone else, so I thought I’d try to entertain, inform, inspire and share all manner of parenting topics. You have to have a sense of humor, you’re only other option is to cry! Parenting without a sense of humor is like being an accountant who’s bad at math.
So, I’m adding a new playlist to my Eva LaRue YouTube Channel! I’m starting with the first 3 episodes (more to follow) in a “Micro Series” on “how to talk to your kids about sex”. If the topic makes you sweat blood, you’re not alone. You can find the first of those episodes below then click here to watch the rest.
For all of those that are parents of teens, driving is probably another parenting nightmare. The key is to stay calm and maybe keep your kids from driving your car through the living room. Want to hear that story? Be sure to watch our first installment in the driving series below.
